WARNING: SMALL RANT AHEAD!
I was scrolling on Tumblr and saw a headcanon for Chika. It was one that said that she has ADHD.
Now, I can actually see this happening. The way she acts, the way she has trouble paying attention... It comes together.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, though! If Chika has ADHD, then you know what? It would be absolutely astounding that she’d be able to work as hard as she currently does. With the doubts Chika has about being “too normal” and such, she still manages to put Aqours together with the help of everyone else. This makes me feel at ease in a way.
Because, even with Chika having ADHD in this headcanon, she still achieved her dreams that she reached for. This means that even with mental struggles, and daily struggles, too, you can achieve whatever you want to with work and efforts! I have social anxiety and panic disorder, so that makes Chika a comfort character for me; she makes me believe in myself for who I am.
So you should have a comfort character like that, too! It doesn’t matter who they are. Whether they are inhuman, autistic, have a mental disorder, that doesn’t matter. What matters is that they make you happy and at ease. That’s what Chika does for me, and now just thinking about this makes me love her a whole lot more.
Sorry that this turned into a rant 😅😅 I just felt like throwing this out there.
